CALLERLAB Foundation for the Preservation and Promotion of Square Dancing Minimize

In the late 1980's, the CALLERLAB Board Of Governors took action to create a foundation which would be dedicated to the preservation and promotion of square dancing. The plan was for this foundation to provide a way for those who wished to make a tax-deductible donation to help in this effort. The CALLERLAB Foundation for the Preservation and Promotion of Square Dancing was formed in 1992 and is registered with the Internal Revenue Service as a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt corporation.

The Foundation website (www.CALLERLABFoundation.org) includes history, mission, and goals of the Foundation. It provides information about the accomplishments and plans for future activities. Also included is information regarding the Foundation-sponsored Education Grants. Please take a look at: www.CALLERLABFoundation.org.

Licensed Callers Minimize

The responsibility of having proper USA music licensing falls on each club as the sponsor of dance events.   See attached report to view a list of CALLERLAB members who have obtained BMI/ASCAP licensing to protect the clubs they call for.  If you club has contracted one of the listed callers, you will have proper licensing for events prior to April 1, 2015.  If your club has contracted a caller whose name does not appear on this list, you may wish to ask for a copy of their license or contact CALLERLAB's Home Office to help clarify the situation.
