2021 CALLERLAB Convention Cancelled

With COVID-19 cases increasing and concerns for travel to the CALLERLAB Convention at the end of March, the Board of Governors have approved the cancelation of the 2021 Convention.  We are sorry for this cancelation but feel it is a decision for the safety of our members and guests.  The Executive Committee is considering presenting a virtual general meeting.  Once more details are available, information will be presented.

Letter from Chairman Ken Ritucci:

November 16, 2020

Dear CALLERLAB Member:

As you are aware, the situation in the United States and around the world regarding COVID-19 has not rescinded to a level that would be comfortable to everyone. Although it appears a vaccine is imminent, the distribution of it remains unclear. Attempting to be proactive and understanding that first quarter events around the world are already being canceled, the CALLERLAB Board of Governors and the Executive Committee has decided to cancel the 2021 Convention in Grapevine, Texas.

CALLERLAB Leadership recognizes the importance of such a decision and wants to ensure the safety of our members during this critical time. We are asking all of you to take whatever precautionary steps you personally feel you need to keep yourselves and families safe. CALLERLAB values your dedication to the activity and we want to ensure our members are informed of this decision.

There is currently a task force in place to come up with a one day “Virtual General Meeting” to be held on Saturday March 27th, the same weekend that the in person convention would be. Details are being worked out now and more information will follow from the Home Office.

CALLERLAB Leadership looks forward to your attendance in this online event. The Board of Governors and the Executive Committee will continue to conduct CALLERLAB Business throughout the year. We will be utilizing more of the virtual technology in regards to committee meetings. (More information to follow) Some committees have already been meeting online.

On Behalf of the Board of Governors and the Executive Committee, please stay safe during this difficult time and we look forward to our beloved activity getting back to normal as soon as can be.
